Workday Senior Certified Project Manager

As a Senior Workday Project Manager, you will lead complex Workday implementation projects from planning through delivery, ensuring milestones are met and business objectives achieved. You will manage multiple concurrent initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams and clients toward successful adoption of Workday best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain client satisfaction while delivering projects on time and within budget. You will also mentor other project managers, contribute to business development opportunities, and help shape a culture of continuous learning. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the U.S. while collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead Workday implementation projects, ensuring delivery of charters, governance, project/staffing plans, and issue logs.

·         Partner with client project managers to oversee milestone approvals, scope management, and issue resolution.

·         Monitor project budgets and ensure profitability while anticipating potential scope or timeline challenges.

·         Mentor and provide guidance to other project managers on methodology and best practices.

·         Participate in sales cycles when required, including requirements gathering, delivery approach, and proposal development.

·         Facilitate executive and project team presentations, adapting communication to audience needs.

·         Promote client adoption of Workday solutions and identify opportunities for additional service offerings.

·         Ensure compliance with delivery checkpoints and maintain high client satisfaction throughout project lifecycle.

Requirements

·         Current Workday Partner certification required (HCM, Financials, or Payroll).

·         3+ years managing Workday implementations for medium to large enterprise clients.

·         Consulting experience within a software or consulting firm is preferred.

·         Experience with Workday, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft implementations.

·         Knowledge of Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or Services Procurement.

·         Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

·         Proven ability to provide excellent client service and balance technical and functional expertise.

·         Business development or service sales experience is a plus.

·         Remote work capability with potential future travel of ~30% depending on project requirements.
