This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Resource Manager based in the United States.

The Workday Resource Manager will support resource management operations within a fast-paced Workday services environment.
This role focuses on coordinating staffing, resource allocation, ticket management, forecasting, and post-production support activities.
You will work closely with delivery and engagement leaders to ensure resources are efficiently assigned and scheduling needs are addressed.
The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate operational data.
You will monitor resource availability, utilization, time entry, contractor submissions, and staffing trends to support informed decisions.
The role also provides opportunities to improve processes, strengthen reporting, and contribute to effective resource management practices.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the Jira ticket queue, including triage, assignment, tracking, and monitoring of ticket aging to support timely resolution.
  • Recommend resource assignments based on availability, skillset, business priorities, and current staffing needs.
  • Execute resource allocation decisions in partnership with resource management leadership.
  • Coordinate backfills for PTO and coverage gaps while supporting real-time staffing adjustments.
  • Help identify and resolve resource scheduling conflicts and escalate competing priorities when necessary.
  • Monitor resource forecasts and request updates from delivery resources to maintain accurate staffing information.
  • Monitor time-entry compliance and ensure data is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Review contractor time submissions for accuracy and timeliness and support coordination with external consultants.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of internal and external resource availability, utilization, and staffing trends.
  • Track utilization metrics and provide regular reporting and operational updates to resource management leadership.
  • Serve as a backup Jira administrator and support certifications tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across resource management tools, processes, and reporting systems.
  • Follow standardized resource management processes and help ensure consistent adoption across the organization.
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement, escalating recommendations and operational challenges appropriately.
  • Stay informed about resource management industry trends and best practices and contribute ideas that improve staffing operations.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience working within a Workday Partner environment or in resource management, staffing, project coordination, or a closely related operational role.
  • Familiarity with the Workday ecosystem, including Workday consultants and partner networks, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation, scheduling, and utilization concepts.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Jira and forecasting or resource management systems is preferred.
  • Strong ability to maintain accurate operational data and follow established processes consistently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Ability to work without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
