This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Automation Engineer in the United States.

This role is focused on shaping the future of warehouse operations through the identification, evaluation, and deployment of advanced automation technologies. You will work at the intersection of engineering, operations, and technology, helping design and implement solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and performance across complex logistics environments. Acting as a key contributor in both pre-sales and implementation phases, you will assess automation opportunities, validate technical feasibility, and support the rollout of innovative systems. The position requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable automation solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to test new technologies, support pilot programs, and drive successful deployments. This is a highly dynamic role where innovation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration are essential to success.

Accountabilities:
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and selection of warehouse automation technologies for both new business opportunities and existing operations.
  • Contribute to RFP responses by analyzing automation solutions, building ROI models, and supporting solution design validation.
  • Assist in reviewing and validating vendor proposals, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, cost efficiency, and performance expectations.
  • Support end-to-end implementation activities, including project planning, milestone tracking, and coordination of smaller automation deployments.
  • Participate in solution design validation, reviewing layouts, system requirements, and operational feasibility for automation solutions.
  • Lead or support pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives to assess new technologies and operational viability.
  • Perform data analysis using warehouse systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to optimize automation performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support solution acceptance testing (SAT), go-live activities, and post-implementation hypercare to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot automation issues and resolve system performance incidents.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance automation processes and warehouse operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling systems, industrial engineering, or warehouse systems integration.
  • Hands-on experience with automation technologies such as conveyor systems, sortation, goods-to-person systems, autonomous robots/vehicles, or AS/RS.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics systems, and industrial engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies and warehouse design concepts.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, CAD, simulation software, or data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work independently, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel 30–40% as required.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range between $100,000 and $115,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for annual bonus and potential long-term incentive programs.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company support.
  • Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and holidays.
  • Career development opportunities in advanced warehouse automation and industrial innovation.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge automation technologies and large-scale logistics transformation projects.
  • Inclusive, equal-opportunity work environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
