About this role
The VP, Payer Pricing & Economics will be responsible for developing and executing aggressive cost of goods strategies and products to ensure Prescryptive’s competitiveness in payor solutions including PBM, carveout and channel distribution markets. The scope of contribution includes overseeing and optimizing our pharmacy network contracting and pricing, manufacturer rebates and contracting, alternative programs including patient assistant programs, alternative funding approaches, international drug sourcing, value-based arrangements. This executive will be responsible understanding and staying ahead of the market and executing key strategies through strategic partnerships and relationships when appropriate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the PBM industry, demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, and a proven track record of driving innovation and business success.

What you will do

  • Own pricing and cost strategy across benefit drugs, including acquisition cost optimization, rebate structures, and contracting frameworks.
  • Lead the negotiation and management of manufacturer rebate agreements, aggregator agreements and other partnerships and approaches to ensure market leading value and flexibility to support market strategies and solution options.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with pharmacy partners to achieve cost-effective pricing and favorable terms.
  • Develop strategies to optimize rebate potential and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Partner with product, clinical, and operations teams to ensure pricing frameworks align with solution design, delivery, and member experience.
  • Support the RFP process in collaboration with Sales and Finance teams.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform pricing decisions and strategic planning
  • Partner with Finance to create forecasting and trend analysis tools and resources to support client success, sales, and financial reporting needs.
  • Develop internal monitoring and reporting capabilities and client strategy in support of client success, financial guarantees, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and develop pricing frameworks that support employer fiduciary duties.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in PBM, pharmacy network contracting, pharmaceutical pricing, or a related field.
  • Experience leading across Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid markets.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and management with pharmacy networks and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, PBM operations, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Ideally you will also have
•    At least 10 years procurement and pricing strategy experience
•    At least 10 years of experience in healthcare

Prescryptive is committed to fair pay practices. The projected annual salary for this position is $200K to $275K.   When preparing an offer, we consider the candidates resume, experience, interview feedback, internal equity, and location.
