Position Summary

The VP, Oracle Delivery, North America will lead Support Teams in their mission to provide exceptional remote-based support and managed services for mission-critical Database, Middleware, BI and other products. Rimini Street provide product support for products from Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, SAP, TIBCO and other major software vendors. This role is part of the Global Support leadership team and will lead teams from both Rimini Support (L4) and Rimini Manage (Application Managed Services) organizations. The Vice President role will be responsible for building and nurturing executive relationships at our clients through appropriate communication and presence. The VP, Oracle Delivery, North America is responsible for resource planning, financial planning, as well as , developing team skills, working with clients, ensuring ITIL compliance, driving client retention and satisfaction, and managing escalations. The role is remote-based within North America and reports directly to the SVP, Global Development, Oracle Support and Managed Services. This role will require periodic travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead Mission-Critical Support for major ERP, Database, Middleware, BI and other products of Oracle, IBM, TIBCO, SAP, Microsoft, BMC & other major software providers.
  • The support delivery will include working with products from these vendors and technology stack required to run major ERP systems including eBusiness Suite, JD Edwards, Siebel, ATG/Endeca, Cognos and TM1.
  • Be a proactive contributor to the Support and Manage Service delivery, which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hours
  • Responsible for the creation, growth, and evolution of a strong, cohesive team to support the Rimini Street Support & Manage practices.
  • Including monitoring skill requirements, guiding the sourcing and hiring of the best candidates, utilizing industry contacts to attract top talent, etc. for the region.
  • Develop relationships and build visibility of the Rimini Street brand in the market
  • Represent Service Delivery capabilities to prospective customers during on-site visits
  • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations
  • Provide in-depth understanding of ITIL and support delivery processes.
  • Support Sales during the sales cycle by articulating Rimini street value proposition including the support delivery quality and value.

Other job-related duties and responsibilities, such as special projects or escalation handling, may be assigned from time to time.

Education

Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related work experience.

Experience

  • 15+ years of relevant technical experience managing, supporting, and/or implementing various technology and/or ERP products from major vendors.
  • Experience in direct client engagement related to support and delivery matters.
  • 10+ years of management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and leading a high performing team of experts.
  • Experience in Application Managed Services execution following ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Oracle  Database, & Middleware, IBM Middleware and BI Products , Oracle  ERP systems , BMC products, VMWare or Microsoft products.
  • Experience in full lifecycle ERP implementations, configuration, administration, support, and enhancements.
  • Experience working with senior executive leadership as a trusted advisor.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Oracle and VMware Products such as ERP Systems, Database & Middleware products.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise change control and extension methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & written.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Extreme focus on Client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, responsible and well-reasoned decisions.
  • Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
  • Open, direct, and informative management style; the ability to develop relationships based on trust, confidence and respect with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to multi task multiple projects, issues and tasks
  • Ability to travel without restriction both domestically & internationally up to 30% of the year
  • Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills to act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL 4 (certification a plus).
