Role Specific Job Duties:
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Collaborate with the CPTO and key stakeholders to build a compelling AI-driven anti-fraud product vision and translate it into a strategic roadmap that directly supports our core business objectives.
- Implement a new set of AI-powered anti-fraud measures that measurably reduce malicious and false verification attempts, improving the platform’s integrity, and advancing customer value through fraud and abuse mitigation.
- Understand and implement the policies regulating the marketplace across our different markets.
- Lead the Product Trust and Safety team to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions that meet customer needs and drive revenue.
- Champion customer-centric design, ensuring the voice of the customer is incorporated in every phase of the product lifecycle.
Product Development and Execution:
- Drive the product development lifecycle and lead product execution to prepare the platform for the evolution of fraud in a no-document, digitally native world, from initial concept to launch and post-release optimization.
- Integrate new anti-fraud features and communication strategies that enhance SheerID's value proposition and GTM strategy, directly contributing to customer retention and growth.
- Continuously engage with customers, prospects, analysts, and internal teams to identify unmet needs, emerging fraud trends, and competitive dynamics, translating these insights into product requirements.
- Identify and engage key fraud-detection and prevention data and service partners that can help accelerate the anti-fraud roadmap, help secure business relationships and execute product integration.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our Trust and Safety products and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Operational Leadership:
- Partner with PMs and “Fraud Squad” to build and further mature fraud identification, operations, and mitigation beyond day-to-day firefighting to proactive, strategic execution of the fraud roadmap.
- Drive operational efficiencies across product development, from budgeting and resource allocation to time-to-market optimization.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure streamlined workflows, clear communication, and collaboration across product, operations, and other business units.
- Develop and enforce best practices in operational procedures and standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing, Trust and Safety team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on all matters related to Trust and Safety. Work closely with marketing, sales and customer success to ensure alignment.
- Present our Trust and Safety performance, challenges, and opportunities to the executive team and Board of Directors.
- Consistently engage with top global enterprise customers to understand their fraud challenges, build trust, and demonstrate SheerID's thought leadership in fraud and identity verification.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage product budgets and ensure alignment with overall company financial goals.
- Monitor the financial performance of products and operational costs, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure profitability.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in product management and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- A proven track record in a senior leadership role within a fraud or consumer security organization, with a deep understanding of current and future fraud trends, particularly in the context of consumer identity and digital document verification and forgery detection
- Deep understanding of the evolving fraud landscape, including various fraud types, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
- Proven ability to deploy cutting-edge AI product technologies and machine learning models to combat and preemptively defeat sophisticated fraud.
- A track record of defining a compelling product strategy and translating it into a well-defined execution plan that drives tangible results in a fast-paced growth-focused environment..
- Experience in driving the operational side of fraud fighting including setting-up processes and teams, and leveraging technology to make those efficient.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to deep dive across technology, product or customer service challenges.
- Experience with both product development and operational management, including familiarity with agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and operational efficiency frameworks.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resource allocation.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to navigate complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in product management software (e.g., JIRA, Aha!, etc.) and operational tools (e.g., ERP systems, CRM software).
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical architectures and data science methodologies.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Demonstrated success in leading product teams through periods of rapid growth or organizational change.
- A deep understanding of data-driven decision-making and analytics in both product and operations management.
