Who We Are
Having surpassed $300M ARR and continuing to grow, Optro is the leading audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform on the market. More than 50% of the Fortune 500, including 7 of the Fortune 10, leverage our award-winning technology to move their businesses forward with greater clarity and agility. And our customers love us: Optro is top-rated on G2.com and Gartner Peer Insights.
At Optro, we inspire each other to innovate and are proud of what we are producing. We spend each day thinking of new ways to help our customers and contribute to the greater good of our company and our surrounding communities. We are all about assisting each other and breaking through barriers to create the most loved audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform by our customers. This is how we have become one of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America for the seventh year in a row, as ranked by Deloitte!
This is not a traditional platform role.
We are looking for a leader who can help re-platform and re-architect Optro for the AI era — faster, pragmatically, and with clear business impact we build the next-generation AI-native platform for connected risk and GRC.
We are at a pivotal moment in our journey. What began as a category-defining platform for audit has evolved into a broader connected risk platform serving multiple business domains. Now, as AI reshapes enterprise software, we are accelerating our transformation to build the first GRC platform designed for agentic autonomy from the data model up.
To help lead that transformation, we are looking for a bold, deeply technical, and highly pragmatic leader to own our Platform & Architecture organization.
This is a high-impact transformation role for a leader who wants to shape the future of a category. You will lead Optro’s Platform & Architecture organization, including strategy, roadmap, and execution across our foundational platform capabilities.
Architecture transformation across application, service and data layers, modernizing core architecture in a way that materially improves engineering velocity
Platform product and engineering for shared capabilities used across all business domains
Permissions / Access platform modernization, including accelerating delivery of Permission 2.0
Identity, authentication, authorization, and entitlement architecture
API and integration strategy, including improving speed, extensibility, and partner/customer value
Core data services and shared data model, enabling roll-up reporting, shared inventory, AI insights, and connected risk workflows
Cross-product platform services that unlock faster delivery across Audit, Risk, Compliance, and future domains
Architecture team leadership, ensuring architecture drives delivery and business value rather than becoming an ivory tower function
We’re looking for a rare combination of deep technical judgment, systems thinking, product mindset, and transformational leadership.
Have led major platform modernization or re-architecture efforts in a scaling enterprise SaaS company
Have successfully evolved legacy or monolithic systems into scalable, modular architectures
Know how to balance long-term architectural quality with near-term business needs
Can lead both platform product strategy and platform engineering execution
Have experience owning shared services in an enterprise B2B SaaS environment including access/permissions, APIs/integrations, data platforms
Understand how foundational architecture decisions impact engineering velocity, reliability, AI readiness, and customer experience
Think creatively about solving hard technical problems rather than relying on rigid or purely textbook approaches
Can build credibility with senior product, engineering, AI, GTM/customer, and executive leaders
Know how to bring teams along through transformation, not just define the future-state architecture
Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise platforms, or workflow software
Experience leading architecture modernization in a live, scaled product environment
Track record of building high-performing teams and transforming legacy technical environments
