Position Summary
As our VP of Engineering, you will lead and scale our engineering team, driving innovation across our four core product squads (CRM, Giving, Data, and Integrations) while also being responsible for our QA and DevOps functions. You will work in close partnership with the VP of Product & Design to co-lead the EPD (Engineering, Product, and Design) team and collaborate with our Chief Architect to ensure long-term technical excellence.
This role requires a blend of technical leadership, strategic thinking, and people management. We value leaders who stay engaged in architecture discussions, enjoy mentoring engineers, and are eager to build a culture of humility, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Proven experience as a VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or similar leadership role in a SaaS company.
Experience scaling and leading engineering teams.
Strong technical background in .NET, Microsoft technologies, and Azure.
Experience in CRM, data systems, or top-of-funnel tech is a plus.
Experience in nonprofit technology is a plus but not required.
Leadership & Team Growth
Lead and scale a 20+ person engineering team in a fast growth environment across multiple squads.

Align engineering execution with company objectives and product strategy.
Technical Excellence & Strategy
Oversee architecture, technical decision-making, and operational efficiency.
Partner with the Chief Architect to drive scalable and maintainable systems.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security across our predominately .NET/Microsoft stack hosted on Azure.
Working knowledge of .Net and SQL as a foundation. Familiarity with Node.JS, Snowflake, micro-services, and continuous deployment processes.
Promote modern engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps excellence.
Ability to fluently talk shop with engineering team and aid in tactical problem-solving as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Co-lead the EPD team with the VP of Product & Design to align engineering and product roadmaps.
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand nonprofit needs and translate them into innovative solutions.
Lead data-driven decision-making across engineering and product teams.
