About the role


The Vice President of Marketing and Research is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of SwiftComply’s marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the CRO, the VP of Marketing's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, product marketing, sales enablement, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations. 


This work requires a deep understanding of the markets we serve and the needs of our prospects, the macro environment in which our clients operate, product capabilities and future growth plans. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong analytical mindset, capable of leading and inspiring our teams, being a master storyteller, and communicating effectively with the market. The VP of Marketing will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success and Sales to drive the successful execution of marketing initiatives.


What you'll do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to create awareness of SwiftComply in the local government market.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for scaling the marketing function within SwiftComply to achieve rapid growth.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the marketing team to achieve their goals and ensure high performance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy, focusing on market image, increasing brand awareness and ensuring adherence to the company's brand guidelines
  • Ensure that all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition; use research to guide marketing strategy and campaigns.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns (digital, social, events, traditional media, etc.) to drive growth.
  • Manage the design and production of marketing materials in conjunction with SwiftComply’s sales process, including thought leadership content, new product commercialization, customer testimonials, booth supplies for trade shows and all things sales enablement.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all marketing initiatives and campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet objectives and compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Oversee the company’s public and media relations efforts to create and maintain a favorable public image and to maximize opportunities for brand exposure, including writing press releases and responding to media inquiries.

Who you are 


We are looking for candidates who:

  • Deep knowledge of B2B marketing best practices in GovTech, with the ability to assess their potential impact and make informed recommendations.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and software; proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems (HubSpot)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex business issues and drive innovation in support of the company’s goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data, evaluate risks, and make sound judgments.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire followership.
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach that can both set a vision, and execute it to bring it to life; comfortable working in and with a flat organization.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for full-stack marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in the GovTech industry 
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Proven experience in scaling a rapid growth business and working with PE ownership.
  • Background in designing and executing marketing strategies from beginning to end
  • Deep knowledge in Sales Enablement, SEO and Product Marketing
  • Outstanding written, communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
  • Outstanding organization skills
