This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP - Human Resources based in United States.

The Vice President of Human Resources will provide strategic leadership across all aspects of people operations, shaping a high-performing and employee-focused workplace.
This executive role will partner closely with senior leadership to align talent strategies with organizational goals and business growth.
The position will oversee HR operations including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR technology.
The successful candidate will build scalable programs that strengthen culture, retention, leadership development, and workforce effectiveness.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational excellence, and hands-on leadership within a dynamic environment.
The VP of Human Resources will play a key role in creating an inclusive workplace where employees can thrive while ensuring strong governance and compliance.


Accountabilities:

The Vice President of Human Resources will lead the development and execution of comprehensive HR strategies while ensuring operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This role will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, drive organizational effectiveness, and oversee programs that support engagement, retention, and business performance.

  • Lead and manage all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, wellness programs, HRIS administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and workforce reporting.
  • Develop and execute long-term talent management strategies that support organizational growth, employee retention, and leadership development.
  • Partner with senior leaders to establish workforce priorities, define HR objectives, and implement initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee the HR team by providing direction, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Design and improve employee engagement, recognition, performance management, and organizational development programs.
  • Establish and monitor HR performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws, regulations, workplace policies, benefits requirements, and safety standards.
  • Manage employee relations processes, including investigations, conflict resolution, ethics reporting, and responses to employment-related concerns.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, standard operating processes, documentation, and employee communications.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, incentive programs, and vendor partnerships to ensure competitive and effective offerings.
  • Manage HR technology platforms, including HRIS systems, payroll systems, reporting tools, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Support workforce planning, staffing budgets, succession planning, and strategic talent initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at professional development events and maintain awareness of emerging HR trends and best practices.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring extensive human resources leadership experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to create impactful people strategies in a multi-state environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources management experience, with strategic HR leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading HR operations for a multi-state organization.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and third-party payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to use data to guide HR strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives.
  • Experience developing HR policies, procedures, and scalable operational frameworks.
  • Preferred: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or law degree.
  • Preferred: Experience with Google Suite, ADP, and advanced HR technology solutions.
  • Preferred: 10 years of HR leadership experience with strategic talent management or business development exposure.
