Overview
This senior executive is a commercially oriented strategic leader with a strong execution background in customer experience and value realization. The role requires a candidate with demonstrated experience building and scaling new digital products in a matrixed environment, transforming ways of working to improve delivery speed, and driving innovation. They will own a digital product strategy for sales and service ensuring a cohesive, consumer-focused end-to-end experience. This leader will operate across the business to ensure digital efforts are aligned, prioritized, and delivering measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow Digital Sales Share: Define strategy and establish Humana’s multi-year roadmap focused on shifting more insurance plan sales to owned channels.
  • Accelerate Member Digital Engagement: Define Humana’s multi-year roadmap to digitize tasks and remove friction, create valuable reasons for members to engage more frequently, identify seamless digital to human handoffs.
  • Platform Modernization and Technology Enablement: Influence platform roadmaps by establishing the critical business priorities for which consolidation of fragmented systems, 3rd party integrations and modernizing legacy systems and architecture, including cloud migration, data interoperability, API frameworks, and secure infrastructure are needed.
  • Champion the end-to-end Digital Member & Provider Experience: Partner with Design, Business Partners, Marketing and IT teams to deliver frictionless, personalized digital journeys from enrollment through continuous re-engagement.
  • Accelerate Innovation through Emerging Products and Technologies: Evaluate and implement AI, automation, machine learning, and other innovations to improve efficiency, decision support, and personalization.
  • Drive Enterprise-Wide Execution: Mobilize dedicated fixed capacity cross-functional teams using agile and lean principles to accelerate speed to market and drive rapid test and learn. Enable standardization of the Product Development Lifecycle.
  • Enable Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with analytics teams to improve real-time data visibility, predictive capabilities, and personalization across the member lifecycle.
  • Foster Digital Culture & Change Adoption: Serve as a visible change leader, developing a culture of digital fluency, innovation, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Advance Digital Health Equity: Ensure transformation initiatives account for accessibility and inclusivity, addressing barriers to digital adoption across diverse populations.
  • Oversee Governance & Risk Management: Establish frameworks to manage digital investments, cybersecurity, compliance, and third-party partnerships effectively.
  • Report and Communicate Outcomes: Define success metrics and transparently report progress to executive leadership, ensuring alignment and accountability across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, transformation, or technology leadership
  • 5+ years in an executive role overseeing enterprise-wide change
  • Proven track record of leading digital modernization in regulated or complex industries
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, cloud platforms, automation, and customer data platforms
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive alignment across a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Health Administration, or related field
  • Experience leading transformation efforts in payer, provider, or digital health organizations
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, digital front door strategies, and virtual health innovation
  • Agile or SAFe certification or equivalent experience in agile product and delivery environments
  • Experience advancing health equity and digital inclusion through strategic initiatives are a plus.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
