This executive leadership role owns the global strategy, performance, and lifecycle management of a core laboratory analyzer systems portfolio that directly shapes clinical diagnostics worldwide. You will define how systems are positioned, differentiated, and commercialized across global markets, ensuring strong clinical, operational, and economic value for hospitals, health systems, and reference laboratories. Operating at enterprise scale, this role translates deep market insight and competitive intelligence into long-term portfolio strategy and actionable go-to-market direction. You will partner closely with R&D, commercial leadership, medical, service, and regional teams to drive innovation, profitable growth, and sustained market leadership. The environment is highly matrixed, global, and innovation-driven, requiring strong executive influence and strategic clarity. This role sits at the intersection of science, commercialization, and portfolio leadership, with direct impact on healthcare outcomes worldwide.


Accountabilities:
  • Own the global strategy, lifecycle management, and multi-year roadmap of the Atellica Core Lab systems portfolio from concept to end-of-life
  • Define and execute portfolio strategy aligned with customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and long-term business goals
  • Establish global positioning and value propositions that clearly differentiate Atellica systems across clinical and enterprise markets
  • Translate market intelligence and competitive insights into portfolio decisions, commercial strategies, and growth initiatives
  • Lead global go-to-market strategy including segmentation, targeting, positioning, and launch excellence for key system releases
  • Partner with commercial leadership to influence pricing, deal strategy, and execution in high-value and competitive opportunities
  • Provide authoritative customer and market insight across laboratorians, health systems, and reference laboratories to guide portfolio direction
  • Collaborate with R&D to define product requirements, prioritize investments, and manage trade-offs between value, cost, and speed to market
  • Lead global product launches and post-launch performance management to ensure adoption, growth, and profitability targets are achieved
  • Build and lead a high-performing global portfolio team and drive alignment across a complex matrix organization

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in diagnostics, in vitro diagnostics, or medical technology
  • Deep expertise in core laboratory diagnostics and strong familiarity with analyzer systems strongly preferred
  • Proven experience leading global product portfolios or large-scale product strategy in highly competitive markets
  • Strong track record of partnering with R&D and commercial teams to deliver differentiated, profitable solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape enterprise-level commercial strategy
  • Experience leading global, matrixed teams with responsibility for strategy, execution, and organizational alignment
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to make complex trade-off decisions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across global environments
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
