We are looking for a creative and strategic leader to drive the vision, integration, and innovation of content across editorial, marketing, and digital channels. As Vice President of Content Strategy, you will oversee a high-performing team of editors, writers, and marketers to deliver compelling storytelling and measurable business results. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to align content initiatives with broader marketing and growth strategies, and play a critical role in shaping both agency and client success. Accountabilities:
- Define and execute an editorial vision that aligns with business objectives and supports content-led growth initiatives.
- Lead a team of writers, editors, and marketers, ensuring the delivery of high-impact, high-quality content across all platforms.
- Partner with account and practice leads to identify and convert content opportunities that drive client engagement and revenue growth.
- Integrate editorial and content marketing with broader digital, PR, and brand strategies for cohesive cross-channel storytelling.
- Spearhead the adoption of AI-powered tools and innovative workflows to enhance creative output and operational efficiency.
- Engage directly with clients as lead content strategist, developing tailored editorial strategies that meet specific business needs.
- Track, analyze, and report on content performance, using data to optimize programs and demonstrate ROI.
- Mentor, coach, and develop talent while overseeing resource planning, freelancer management, and workload distribution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in editorial leadership, content marketing, or communications, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proven ability to drive business results through strategic content initiatives, including new business wins and organic growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Deep understanding of editorial processes, SEO, analytics tools, and content marketing best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership managing teams of 5+ across content creation, strategy, and performance.
- Strong client-facing experience and consultative approach, especially within PR, tech, or integrated marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in or exposure to technology-related fields is a plus.
