This senior executive role sits at the forefront of global clinical evidence strategy within the life sciences and diagnostics space, driving the development and execution of high-impact clinical research programs that enable innovative diagnostic solutions. You will lead a global clinical organization spanning study design, biostatistics, data management, compliance, and operational execution, ensuring rigorous scientific standards and regulatory alignment across a diverse product portfolio. The role requires strong strategic leadership to translate global market needs and regulatory expectations into actionable clinical evidence frameworks that accelerate product development and market access. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-organizational leaders to shape clinical strategy, influence decision-making, and align initiatives with broader corporate objectives. In addition, you will play a critical role in building high-performing teams, strengthening global clinical capabilities, and embedding best practices across operations. This is a highly visible leadership position in a mission-driven environment focused on advancing precision diagnostics and improving patient outcomes worldwide.
Accountabilities:- Define and lead global clinical research strategy, translating market needs and regulatory requirements into robust clinical evidence programs that support product development, approval, and lifecycle management
- Oversee end-to-end clinical operations including study design, biostatistics, data management, clinical compliance, and execution of global trials across a complex diagnostics portfolio
- Drive development of innovative clinical evidence approaches, including advanced diagnostics, AI-enabled solutions, and machine learning–based technologies
- Establish strong partnerships with internal leadership teams across multiple operating companies to ensure alignment of clinical strategy with corporate goals and business priorities
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing global clinical organization by identifying capability gaps, developing talent pipelines, and recruiting specialized expertise
- Standardize clinical processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks to improve operational efficiency, quality, and consistency across global studies
- Manage departmental budget and financial planning, ensuring cost-effective clinical operations and data-driven investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards while enabling efficient, scientifically rigorous study execution
Requirements:
- Advanced degree required (Ph.D., M.D., or Master’s in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Research, or related field)
- 10+ years of industry experience in clinical research, including extensive experience in in vitro diagnostic studies
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a global or matrixed organization
- Strong expertise in clinical program strategy, study design, regulatory compliance, and diagnostic product development
- Proven track record of successful commercialization of diagnostic, life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical products
- Experience working with complex, global clinical operations and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business units
- Strong understanding of biostatistics, clinical data management, regulatory frameworks, and medical product lifecycle development
- Experience with AI-driven or machine learning–enabled diagnostic technologies is highly desirable
- Excellent executive communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder influence skills
- Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 30%
