We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity.</div>What You’ll Do As Vice President, Business Development, you will independently own and drive deal strategy and execution across a defined book of business, leading senior health plan relationships, contracting, and negotiations. You will serve as a senior leader and force multiplier within the Business Development team.   You will:  <ul><li>Own end-to-end origination through contract execution across a defined book of business, focused on Medicaid managed care and spanning commercial insurance, risk-bearing provider organizations, and direct-to-state segments, from initial prospecting through contract execution and handoff to implementation </li><li>Lead relationship development with senior health plan stakeholders and state Medicaid leadership, serving as the primary executive point of contact for your portfolio </li><li>Lead value-based care contract negotiations directly with payers across the full scope of the contract  </li><li>Set deal structure and risk modeling strategy across a wide range of value-based care constructs, owning pricing and structure recommendations to the executive team (SVP Business Development, CCO, and President) </li><li>Shape BD strategy and growth planning, including market prioritization, go-to-market strategy, and expansion opportunities </li><li>Maintain deep expertise in state Medicaid programs, RFP cycles, and policy trends that impact children with medical complexity or special healthcare needs </li><li>Mobilize cross-functional leaders across finance, legal, clinical, and implementation teams as deals advance from discovery to go-live </li><li>Drive executive and board alignment on pipeline, deal strategy, and growth priorities through ELT updates, board materials, and other reporting </li><li>Represent Imagine Pediatrics externally at industry conferences, with health plan executives, and in state-level engagements as a senior spokesperson for our mission and model </li></ul> What You Bring & How You Qualify   First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve. You will need:   <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate degree in business or related field, strongly preferred </li><li>10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, including health plans, medical groups, providers, or healthcare delivery organizations </li><li>Proven track record as lead negotiator on value-based care contracts with payers from origination through contract execution, owning deal terms, contracting strategy, and financial analysis with minimal oversight </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and lead relationships with senior health plan stakeholders and serve as primary point of contact with external plan partner executives; Medicaid managed care experience strongly preferred </li><li>Deep expertise in value-based care programs, risk arrangements, and Medicaid managed care markets </li><li>Previous strategy experience in management consulting, banking, or corporate strategy roles, preferred </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, including people managers </li><li>Executive presence and the ability to influence at all levels, including C-level stakeholders internally and externally </li><li>Ability to operate effectively as both a strategic leader and hands-on player/coach in a fast-paced, high-growth environment </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% </li></ul> What We Offer (Benefits + Perks) The role offers a base salary range of $210,000 - $250,000 in addition to annual bonus incentive, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable).
