  • Lead coordination with Investor Relations on earnings materials, investor communications, and external financial messaging consistency.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual close processes, including audit coordination with internal and external auditors and timely resolution of accounting issues.
  • Manage accounting governance, internal controls, and SOX compliance (SEC and NAIC), including design, effectiveness, and remediation efforts.
  • Lead financial reporting for capital markets transactions, securities offerings, and related technical accounting matters.
  • Present financial results and key judgments to the Audit Committee and senior leadership, including support for complex accounting topics and risk discussions.
  • Partner across Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Actuarial, and FP&A to ensure accurate, decision-useful external disclosures.
  • Drive modernization of accounting systems, reporting tools, and data analytics capabilities in collaboration with IT and transformation teams.
  • Oversee regulatory interactions, including SEC comment responses and compliance engagements.
  • Lead a large global accounting organization, ensuring strong talent development, governance, and operating discipline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 10+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally with insurance or financial services clients.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial disclosure governance.
  • Strong background in external reporting, internal controls, and audit coordination in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in property & casualty insurance accounting strongly preferred.
  • Proven executive leadership experience managing large, multi-location finance or accounting teams.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, with ability to present to Audit Committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, process improvement, and system modernization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and ability to manage complex technical accounting judgments.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to operate in high-pressure, high-accountability environments.

Benefits:

  • Annual base salary range: $287,900 – $337,775, based on experience and qualifications
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and health savings options
  • Retirement savings plan with employer support
  • Paid time off and flexible leave programs
  • Career development and leadership growth opportunities
  • Access to modern finance transformation and automation initiatives
