We are seeking an experienced and driven U.S. Navy / U.S. Marine Corps Business Developer to expand our footprint within the naval enterprise.
This role is essential to establishing a sustained presence across the Navy and Marine Corps market segments. You will drive new opportunities, shape capture strategies, and cultivate senior-level relationships across SYSCOMs, PEOs, and innovation hubs.
You’ll be responsible for building and executing the Navy/USMC growth strategy, leading demonstrations, and collaborating with our technical teams to deliver mission-relevant autonomous systems to maritime operators.
1. Strategic Growth & Business Development
Build and execute the Navy/USMC business development strategy.
Identify and pursue new opportunities across naval commands, PEOs, SYSCOMs, and innovation offices.
Drive capture and proposal activities, ensuring alignment with long-term naval modernization priorities.
2. Sales & Client Engagement
Develop relationships with primes, acquisition officers, and fleet decision-makers.
Deliver tailored demonstrations and presentations that showcase Harmattan AI’s operational relevance to maritime missions.
Manage CRM pipeline, analyze trends, and provide structured reporting to leadership.
3. Stakeholder & Government Relations
Cultivate trusted relationships across the naval and joint community.
Represent Harmattan AI at key defense trade shows and maritime industry events.
Collaborate with internal R&D, Product, and Program teams to ensure technical alignment with customer needs.
Experience: 3+ years in business development or defense sales within the U.S. market.
Background: Prior experience working with or selling to the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with maritime or expeditionary technologies (UxS, ISR, autonomy, sensors).
Sales Skills: Proven ability to develop pipelines, shape requirements, and close multi-stakeholder deals.
Strategic Acumen: Strong understanding of Navy/USMC procurement and acquisition processes.
Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication, capable of engaging senior military and civilian stakeholders.
Mindset: Mission-oriented, resourceful, adaptable, and resilient in long defense-cycle environments.
