This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UI Engineering Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team of UI engineers within a mission-driven technology environment focused on protecting critical systems.
The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership, and product vision to shape intuitive, scalable user experiences.
You will guide engineering practices, mentor developers, and influence the future direction of user interface development.
Working closely with product leaders and engineering teams, you will help deliver high-quality solutions that create meaningful customer impact.
This position requires a strong balance of hands-on technical knowledge, people leadership, and strategic thinking.

Accountabilities:

The UI Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading UI engineering initiatives, developing team capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences across multiple product areas.

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of UI engineers while supporting career growth and skill development.
  • Define and execute the vision for user interface development, ensuring alignment with broader engineering goals and product strategies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, technical leads, and engineering teams to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences.
  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, performance optimization approaches, and scalable development processes.
  • Support software design, development, testing, release activities, and production troubleshooting when needed.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects while balancing innovation, technical debt management, and operational requirements.
  • Build strong engineering communities by encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and recommend improvements to enhance development practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain and evolve scalable design systems and UI frameworks.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive engineering leadership experience, strong front-end expertise, and the ability to inspire teams while delivering impactful technology solutions.

  • 7+ years of experience managing engineering teams and developing high-performing technical organizations.
  • Previous experience as a UI engineer with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and collaborating within product-focused engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, create growth opportunities, and foster a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma and supporting scalable design systems.
  • Ability to contribute hands-on to development activities, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and incident resolution when required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong initiative and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, threat intelligence, or industrial control systems security is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
