In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to create and reinforce mechanisms that support a seamless experience (pre, during, and post-implementation) for both internal teams (3P Transportation, Sort Center, Configuration, Merchant Care/Success) and ShipBob’s customers. As the bridge between our Sales, Operations, and Product organizations, you will work backwards from merchant and shipper-facing goals on cost and quality to define ShipBob’s overall implementation strategy. To support this responsibility, you will identify, lead, and create processes with well-defined input metrics, establish clear ownership and reporting cadences, and partner with ShipBob’s product and capacity planning teams to ensure our processes and technology support our long-term growth plans. This role reports to the Senior Director, Transportation.What you’ll do:<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">In partnership with our revenue teams, support the go-forward implementation strategy for ShipBob transportation (PoweredBy, WMS). This includes helping document ShipBob’s value proposition.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Own goals related to reducing launch timelines, revenue enablement, and time to carrier first scan.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Define success for new shipper onboarding across teams (Sales, Pricing, Operations, 3P Transportation, Legal) including the definition of success metrics and exit criteria.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Establish standard work across teams to preserve customer experience and cost, including configuration management, scan compliance, backlog management, and customer service integration.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Engage directly with Merchants to support integration efforts; build scalable processes to capture pick-up times, influence changes to downstream operating clocks, and manage expectations related to third party carrier performance.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Establish implementation and operations-focused business review cadence (Weekly Business Reviews, Daily Business Reviews, Annual planning cycles, etc.)</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Manage cross-functionally and across multiple levels (from the Sr. Director of Transportation to on-the-floor operations and area managers).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Perform deep dives for operations and transportation related inquiries/escalations.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.</li></ul>What you’ll bring to the table:<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management/Engineering.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">3-4 years experience as a leader in an Operations or Transportation role.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">A solid understanding of transportation network design and cost structure, including the establishment of operating clocks, sort center processes, and last mile carrier optimization. We are targeting a base salary range of $76,000 - $86,000 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $67,973 - $113,288.
