Job Details:

  • Eligible for a Short Term Incentive (STI) Bonus plan: 15% of base salary
  • Travel Expectations: up to 50%, with most travel to the Ridgefield, WA

Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic-minded Training Program Development Manager  to lead technical training initiatives. The Training Program Development Manager is responsible for establishing training capabilities, content, processes, and providing management for the rapid delivery of new and updated training classes and material that properly meet target our technical needs and consistently represents the mission and vision of the company. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training delivery methods.  

 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the strategy and vision of technical development for the service organization.
  • Partner with business leads to ensure training programs and processes are aligned and relevant to critical business priorities.
  • Design engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia resources.
  • Drive measurable improvement in technical competencies through training, mentorships, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Deliver training sessions in a variety of formats, such as instructor-led classes, webinars, and e-learning modules.
  • Act as an ombudsman to determine key community partners for developing a talent pipeline.
  • Develop standards for internships, scholarships or company sponsored programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records and documentation to track employee progress and compliance with training requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants as needed for technical training.
  • Provide coaching and support to trainers and subject matter experts involved in delivering training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a training or learning and development role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Experience with project management and budgeting for training initiatives is a plus.
  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) is preferred, but not required.
