Position Summary:

The Training and Development Coordinator, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of operationalizing training and education programs across the full spectrum of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) functions, supporting both onshore and offshore operations. This role owns the end-to-end training function, ensuring workforce readiness, operational consistency, and performance across all RCM lines of business.

This individual will oversee the design and delivery of scalable training programs, including instructor-led (virtual and in person), side-by-side training, and train-the-trainer models. The role partners closely with operations, quality, and leadership teams to identify skill gaps, implement targeted learning strategies, and align training initiatives with business objectives, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.

The Training and Development Coordinator, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is accountable for building and maintaining a robust training infrastructure including curriculum, job aids, workflow documentation, system navigation guides, and training trackers while ensuring standardization across global teams and BPO partners. Success in this role requires deep RCM knowledge, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to translate complex workflows into structured, high-impact learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training frameworks, competency models, and readiness benchmarks across all RCM lines of business (e.g., Pre-Billing, Prior Authorization, Billing, Denials, Appeals Payment Posting, EDI, Quality).
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions (ILT), virtual learning, and side-by-side operational training for both new hires and tenured staff.
  • Lead global train-the-trainer onboarding programs, including structured training, nesting support, and readiness validation.
  • Implement and oversee train-the-trainer programs to scale training capabilities across leadership and BPO partners.
  • Develop deep understanding of end-to-end RCM workflows, system navigation, and scheduling cadence across departments.
  • Ensure training content reflects real-time operational processes, system updates, and workflow changes.
  • Partner with operations leadership to align training schedules with business needs, staffing models, and production timelines.
  • Assess learner competencies through structured evaluations, audits, and performance tracking.
  • Establish clear readiness benchmarks for training completion, nesting progression, and production transition.
  • Provide targeted coaching and feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Other administrative duties as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional leaders, including operations, QA, HR, and technology teams.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and BPO partners to ensure consistent training, delivery and standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for RCM training-related inquiries, workflow clarification, and system navigation support.
  • Partner with QA and operations to identify skill gaps through audits, KPIs, and performance data.

Travel Requirements:

  • This role may require some travel (quarterly/biannually/annually) that may include, but is not limited to:
    • Participation in corporate meetings, leadership summits, and strategic planning sessions.
    • Engagement in leadership development programs and industry conferences.
    • Onsite visits for team building, training, and cross-functional collaboration to foster a strong, united workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in related fields such as healthcare administration, business administration, or engineering is preferred, but equivalent work experience is acceptable.
  • 3+ years of experience in training, curriculum development, or workforce enablement; RCM-specific experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management processes.
  • Proven experience supporting global operations and/or offshore teams (BPO environment preferred).
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Experience designing training programs for multiple learning styles and operational roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess performance data and translate insights into training interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Ability to work with self-discipline, good judgment, and independence remotely or in a dynamic office setting.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation, content management, and program coordination capabilities.
  • Familiarity with laboratory billing, (e.g., Salesforce, eligibility platforms, clearinghouses), Xifin, Telcor, and national as well as regional payers throughout the US are a plus.
  • Must be proficient using a computer, PC software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and have above average typing skills
  • Flexibility with respect to working hours based on operational need.

Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies.  Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or, if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, education, job-related skills, job duties, and business need.

Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $80,070 - $110,075
If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is: $84,780 - $116,550


Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
