Temporary Leave & Return-to-Work Coordinator
📍 Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ
A1 Garage Door Service is seeking a Leave & Return-to-Work Coordinator for a temporary assignment. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Operations & Programs, this role will manage leave of absence requests, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work coordination across multiple states. You’ll ensure employees and managers have the right information and support throughout the leave process.
✨ What You’ll Do
🩺 Leave of Absence Management
Administer FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, and company-specific leaves
Track leave requests, approvals, and documentation in UKG Ready
Serve as the main contact for employees and managers on leave-related questions
⚒️ Workers’ Compensation & Return-to-Work
Manage workers’ comp claims and coordinate with insurance providers
Partner with managers to design and implement return-to-work programs, including modified/light duty assignments
Ensure timely communication and documentation for both employees and leaders
đź“‘ Compliance & Reporting
Maintain accurate, up-to-date leave and workers’ comp records
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies across multiple states
Provide reporting and support audits as needed
âś… What You Bring
2+ years of HR, leave administration, or workers’ compensation experience
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, multi-state leave laws, and workers’ compensation processes
Experience coordinating return-to-work programs and modified duty assignments
Familiarity with UKG Ready or other HR systems preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with empathy and confidentiality
Temporary role — ability to start quickly and hit the ground running
