About the Role:

As a Client Technology Officer, you will operate as a trusted strategic partner to CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and other senior technology leaders. This executive-facing role shapes long-term architectural direction, unlocking digital transformation and driving organizational change at the C-suite level. You will directly influence executive technology agendas, guiding customers through complex transformation initiatives and ensuring strategic alignment with Camunda’s vision.

What you'll be doing:

  •  Executive Partnership & Strategic Advisory: Forge and sustain relationships with C-level executives to shape technology vision, orchestrate enterprise transformation, and provide guidance that aligns technology strategy with critical business objectives.

  • Driving Organizational Change: Enable executive leaders and technical buyers to drive alignment and organization-wide change, equipping them to champion business transformation and unlock cross-functional impact.

  • Architectural Influence: Distill complex architecture and technology concepts into simple, actionable insights for senior executive audiences; directly guide architectural decisions that underpin large-scale business outcomes.

  • Thought Leadership and Evangelism: Represent Camunda as an executive sponsor at industry conferences, engage key technology influencers and analysts, and demonstrate thought leadership as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert.

Internal & Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to align Camunda’s product vision with the evolving needs of the enterprise market, ensuring maximized customer and business impact.

What you bring:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product.

  • Proven expertise in enterprise technology leadership, architecture, technology consulting, or digital transformation, backed by accomplishments that establish real credibility in the field.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and trust with executive-level stakeholders and to advise on complex technology and business challenges.

  • Expert architectural and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize broad organizational objectives into actionable technology plans.

  • Consulting background with the gravitas and communication skills to engage, challenge, and advise C-level audiences.

  • Experience facilitating executive workshops, technical strategy sessions, and leadership forums.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.

  • Passion for driving innovation and organizational change.

  • Familiarity with business process management, workflow automation, open-source software, and/or Camunda.

Nice to haves:

  • Industry-specific architecture experience (e.g., financial services, payments, regulated sectors).

  • Experience developing enterprise adoption or digital transformation roadmaps.

  • Track record of public speaking, industry panel participation, or analyst engagement.

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation

We offer fair, transparent, and competitive compensation. For new hires, we typically place candidates in the first half of the range, allowing room for growth over time.

Annual Total Cash (base salary + 100% variable, where applicable):

  • United States: $251,700.00 to $377,600.00

  • Germany: €167,400.00 to €251,100.00

  • United Kingdom: ÂŁ163,100.00 to ÂŁ244,700.00

  • Singapore: S$312,600.00 to S$468,900.00

If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.

Equity: We also offer equity (where applicable) through ourVirtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).
