We’re looking for a Technology Solutions Consultant to join our growing Sales Team and act as a key contributor to our success in the Financial Services and FinTech sector. This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and sales acumen to help clients understand how Devsu’s technology services can enable growth, enhance efficiency, and improve customer experiences.

As a Technology Solutions Consultant at Devsu, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our prospects’ business challenges and Devsu’s technical capabilities. You’ll partner closely with the sales team to identify client needs, conduct technical discovery, craft tailored solutions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

As a Technology Consultant:

  • Collaborate with clients to analyze their technical challenges and business goals, especially in the Financial Services domain.
  • Clearly articulate how Devsu’s technical services create business value and solve issues around pain points. 
  • Recommend solutions that modernize, integrate, and optimize their technology environments, including custom software development approaches.
  • Stay well-versed in Devsu’s service offerings and deliver tailored technical demos and solutions presentations that effectively address client needs.
  • Assist in crafting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and technical prototypes to showcase technical feasibility and business value.

As a Sales Partner:

  • Partner with the sales team throughout the entire deal cycle, from initial discovery to closing.
  • Translate Devsu’s technical capabilities into meaningful business value for client decision-makers, spanning both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively address technical objections and questions to build trust and credibility with prospects.
  • Support sales proposals and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with client requirements.

As a Financial Services Expert:

  • Leverage your knowledge of the Financial Services industry, including trends, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, AML), and technologies (e.g., payment processing, fraud detection, digital transformations).
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and market shifts affecting banks, credit unions, and fintech companies.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, collaborating with Devsu’s product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

Core Qualifications:

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, enterprise technology integration, or systems architecture.
    • A solid understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices (e.g., DevOps, agile methodologies).
    • Understanding of, or experience with, software modernization best practices 
  2. Sales Acumen:
    • Prior experience in technical pre-sales, technology solutions consulting, or technology services selling.
    • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with measurable business outcomes and ROI.
  3. Financial Services Knowledge:
    • Previous experience working for a financial services organization (bank, credit union, FinTech, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Financial Services processes, systems, and regulations (banking, fintech, credit unions).
    • Understanding industry trends like open banking, digital transformation, payment systems, and enhanced customer solutions.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, focusing on active listening and engaging client stakeholders across different teams and levels.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to design customized technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with an eagerness to meet and exceed sales objectives.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with software development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) or working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with nearshore development models or consulting experience with geographically distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical field (preferred but not required).
