At Nooks, clarity is a superpower - and we’re hiring our first Technical Writer who knows how to wield it. Help us ship fast, scale smart, and make our product shine through world-class documentation that speaks to our Sales audience.
This role is hybrid; 3x/week in our incredible San Francisco office, to foster a collaborative, cross-functional culture. You will be working closely with support and engineers in our office.
Write and maintain high-quality Help Center articles, FAQs, feature guides, troubleshooting paths, and release-related documentation
Create content that helps customers understand features, troubleshoot issues, and learn best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and customer success teams to gather insights, understand new features, and ensure documentation accuracy.
Assist with customer enablement content that supports onboarding and feature adoption
Build and maintain a well-organized internal knowledge base for Support, Customer Success, and other teams
Document internal workflows, processes, and best practices to support consistent operations
Work directly with Engineering and other teams to gather details on new features and translate them into clear internal notes and guides
Create and uphold documentation standards and guidelines
Work with Support, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure accuracy and completeness across all content
Identify gaps in documentation and recommend improvements that help users and internal teams be more successful
3–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in B2B SaaS products.
Strong systems thinking, technical curiosity, and a proven ability to work with empathy, ownership, and accountability.
Experience managing multiple, concurrent documentation projects.
A passion for technology and for customer success, with a user-centric approach and mindset.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and evolving environments.
A learning mindset—curious, growth-oriented, and resilient.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Prior experience working with Linear or similar project management tools is a plus.
Understanding of concepts related to telephony, VoIP, AI, or real-time communications
