Here’s a summary of the role:

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving and relationship management? As a Technical Project Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between technical teams and clients, translating client needs into actionable specifications while ensuring the delivery of high-quality datasets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a commitment to quality, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

  • Translate client requirements into technical specifications for dataset variables.
  • Standardize Processes by developing and maintaining systems to ensure quality and consistency in dataset delivery, including variable recoding to meet client needs.
  • Create and implement a standardized process for dataset inspection to confirm accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver high-quality work for major clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, troubleshoot issues, and refine processes to meet expectations.
  • Organize Workflows.
  • Design transparent and effective workflows, including clear plans, milestones, and deliverables.

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a market research vendor or agency.
  • Familiarity with quantitative survey research and common data structures.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously while setting clear priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across distributed teams without formal authority.
  • Strong organizational skills, including creating processes to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Self-motivation and proactiveness, with minimal need for supervision.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.

It would be great if you had these too, but we’ll support you if you don’t:

  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and resolving client requests.
  • Proven ability to design processes and systems that ensure delivery milestones are met.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, managing distributed teams, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical acumen to partner effectively with engineers and researchers while serving as the client-facing project lead.
