This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Engineer III based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced technical engineering expertise across firewall, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
You will design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot solutions that support secure and reliable technology environments.
The position focuses heavily on firewall administration, network troubleshooting, data-flow analysis, and packet capture investigation.
You will collaborate with engineering, technology, support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical implementations.
The role also provides opportunities to influence technical standards, documentation, architecture, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.
You will work independently on complex challenges while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance across teams.

Accountabilities
  • Provide advanced technical engineering and troubleshooting expertise across firewall, networking, and infrastructure environments.
  • Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot technical solutions in collaboration with engineering, technology, and support teams.
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Check Point firewall rules while supporting broader firewall and networking environments.
  • Trace data flows and analyze packet captures to identify and resolve complex network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
  • Support infrastructure design, architecture, implementation, and continuous technology improvements while ensuring solutions meet operational and technical requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into effective, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical, architectural, and support documentation, standards, procedures, and system specifications.
  • Coordinate technical activities and issue resolution with vendors, internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and support organizations.
  • Review technical documentation, proposals, and proposed changes to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with established standards.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, providing technical guidance and reviewing their work and documentation.
  • Apply industry best practices together with organizational security, risk, and regulatory requirements when designing and implementing solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging infrastructure, networking, security, and vendor technologies and apply relevant knowledge to ongoing technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing Check Point firewall rules, together with strong general firewall and networking expertise.
  • Proven ability to trace data flows and analyze packet captures as part of advanced network and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • At least 6 years of combined higher education and/or professional experience in systems design, systems management, architecture, technical engineering, or related areas.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in technical engineering involving infrastructure design, data management and interchange, systems design, and/or complex application development is preferred.
  • Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of industry and vendor technologies, including server/client environments and virtual technologies.
  • Experience translating complex business and functional requirements into high-quality technical implementations.
  • Strong ability to gather, document, interpret, and analyze system specifications and technical requirements.
  • Understanding of how infrastructure technologies interact with other systems, applications, services, and components within complex environments.
  • Ability to work independently on challenging technical issues while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Process-oriented and logical approach to problem-solving, with the adaptability to learn new technologies and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Expected base compensation ranging from $46.64 to $77.74 per hour, with offers determined based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and applicable licenses or certifications.
