Technical Director /Distinguished Engineer

In this senior technical leadership role, you will define and drive the architecture, strategy, and evolution of large-scale enterprise storage and infrastructure platforms. You will operate at the intersection of engineering execution and executive strategy, influencing roadmap decisions while guiding complex system design. The role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with organizational leadership across distributed engineering teams. You will partner closely with product, security, and operations leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions. This position plays a critical role in enabling innovation across mission-critical data environments. You will also help shape best practices and long-term platform resilience across the enterprise.

Accountabilities:

You will lead the strategy, design, and execution of scalable storage and infrastructure platforms, ensuring alignment with business and engineering objectives while enabling innovation across enterprise systems. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, product management, and field teams to translate customer and business needs into robust technical solutions.

Drive end-to-end strategy and execution for enterprise storage and infrastructure platforms
Design and oversee scalable, secure, and resilient systems supporting mission-critical workloads
Partner with product and engineering leaders to enhance core platform capabilities and deployment processes
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards
Engage with field and customer-facing teams to support key technical engagements and growth initiatives
Establish performance, cost, and health metrics with reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility
Guide engineering teams as a subject matter expert across storage, systems, and infrastructure technologies
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and modernization of platform architecture and tooling

Requirements

You bring deep technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure and storage systems, combined with strong leadership experience guiding engineering organizations at scale. You are comfortable operating in complex, distributed environments and influencing both technical and executive stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, storage, or systems engineering
Proven leadership experience in large-scale engineering or architecture roles
Strong expertise in enterprise storage technologies, data center architecture, and systems infrastructure
Experience with cloud transformation, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure tooling
Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in mission-critical environments
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders
Experience working in globally distributed and collaborative engineering environments
