This role offers a strategic and high-impact opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse client base. You will manage complex US federal, state, and multi-state tax engagements while mentoring team members and ensuring the delivery of technically accurate and timely work. The position involves direct client interaction, driving workflow efficiency, and contributing to business development initiatives. You will work remotely, taking ownership of projects from start to finish, and will have the opportunity to influence processes, knowledge-sharing, and team growth. This is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of client service.


Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage corporate tax engagements across federal, state, and multi-state levels
  • Review, prepare, and oversee corporate tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions, and projections
  • Advise clients on tax planning, research, compliance, allocations, and transaction-related matters
  • Conduct and review technical tax research on complex and emerging issues
  • Manage workflow, timelines, and resources to ensure engagements are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to staff and senior associates
  • Ensure adherence to quality control processes, proper documentation, and best practices
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for expanded services and additional tax issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA, EA, JD, or MST preferred
  • 8–10+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments
  • Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and multi-state corporate taxation
  • Proven experience managing tax engagements and supervising teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with major tax software and research tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards
  • Willingness to work a permanent night shift and accept a long-term remote arrangement
