Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary tax-related information and documents.
  • Address client inquiries and provide thorough explanations regarding tax matters primarily via email.
  • Support managers and advisors in maintaining strong client relationships with clear and professional communication.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and updates.
  • Analyze tax implications for various financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and their impact on clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Must have or be pursuing the requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
  • Strong tax research skills
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, and project management skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
  • 0-2 years of experience in tax or financial services
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening
  • Technically savvy and capable of integrating into a virtual work environment
  • Works well with detailed assignments
  • Experience with Google Drive
  • Experience in Salesforce is preferred
  • Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, and can deal with confidential information daily 
  • Models professionalism in the workplace and when speaking with clients and vendors
  • Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services 
  • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems

Position Summary

Location: Remote

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation Range: $50,000 - $80,000 base pay; plus incentives and designation pay

Supervisor: Tax Manager
