As a <strong>Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)</strong>, you’ll work <strong>100% remotely</strong> while serving as the <strong>boots-on-the-ground liaison</strong> to our Bay Area manufacturing partners.</p><p>This is a unique opportunity to combine <strong>remote flexibility</strong> with meaningful <strong>local impact</strong>—strengthening the supply base right in the heart of Silicon Valley.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Onboard &amp; Grow Partners</strong> – Evaluate and develop Bay Area suppliers, build robust control plans, and strengthen their ability to deliver consistent results.</li><li><strong>Solve Problems That Stick</strong> – Lead root cause analysis, guide corrective actions, and drive preventive solutions with long-term impact.</li><li><strong>Raise the Bar</strong> – Use scorecards, maturity models, and QMS improvements to push supplier performance forward.</li><li><strong>Be Everywhere Quality Matters</strong> – Travel regularly to supplier sites in the <strong>San Jose / Bay Area</strong>, with only occasional U.S. trips as needed.</li><li><strong>Advocate for Customers</strong> – Represent the voice of our customers inside every manufacturing partner conversation.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years in supplier-facing quality engineering, preferably in <strong>mechanical hardware or components</strong></li><li>Strong mix of <strong>relationship-building and accountability</strong> with suppliers</li><li>A <strong>process-driven mindset</strong>—you think in systems, not quick fixes</li><li>Ability to <strong>make decisions with limited data</strong> while keeping business outcomes in mind</li><li>Experience with <strong>ISO 9001, AS9100</strong>, or structured quality systems</li><li>Strong communicator—comfortable onsite, remote, and cross-functional</li></ul><p><strong>Why You’ll Love Working Here</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Remote Flexibility</strong> – Work from home while living in the Bay Area.</li><li><strong>Local Impact</strong> – Be the visible face of quality at suppliers in your community.</li><li><strong>Grow with Us</strong> – Be part of a mission-driven company scaling fast, with opportunities to shape how we manage quality across a national network.</li><li><strong>Competitive Pay</strong> – Salary range: <strong>$95,000 – $125,000</strong>, depending on experience.</li></ul><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>This is a <strong>remote but highly local field-driven position</strong>.
