Job Summary

The Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting. This includes qualifying suppliers, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, and maintaining accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures. The administrator will oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities to closeout. Under general supervision, this role will require problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting.
  • Qualifying suppliers, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, and maintaining accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures.
  • Oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities to closeout.
  • Under general supervision, problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with government contracts and understanding of compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution
  • Experience using procurement software or contract management systems
