About the role

The Research Team at T1D Exchange collaborates with study sponsors (including pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, academics, and diabetes non-profits) and colleagues to understand the outcomes, needs, experiences, and attitudes of people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). The Study Project Manager serves as a project manager by coordinating the many pieces involved in T1D Exchange and sponsored research efforts.

What you'll do

         Implement and manage online surveys in designated survey platforms, including building, testing, deploying, and monitoring surveys based on content provided by the research team

         Oversee participant recruitment activities in accordance with research protocols, including monitoring recruitment and progress

         Manage IRB-related activities, including initiating submissions, tracking amendments and continuing reviews, communicating updates, and monitoring required trainings (e.g., CITI)

         Provide reference and citation management support for publications, including organizing reference libraries, formatting citations, managing journal-specific reference requirements, and coordinating updates with authors as needed

         Provide administrative and coordination support to the VP of RWE & Research, including tracking priorities, coordinating inputs across studies, and supporting follow-up on action items

         Prepare and organize materials for leadership and external meetings, including agendas, background documents, and summary notes as requested

         Design, implement, and maintain operational tracking systems for studies, including systems to organize and monitor contracts, invoices, deliverables, and required documentation in coordination with research team, finance, and external partners

         Supports additional study operational and administrative activities, as assigned by manager, to meet departmental objectives

Qualifications

         Bachelor鈥檚 degree in public health, social sciences, or related discipline

         Two or more years of work experience in research, health, academic, or operational support settings

         Demonstrated experience supporting projects in a coordination or administrative capacity, including tracking tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across team members

         Experience using online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, REDcap) to build, test, deploy, and monitor surveys based on provided content, or willingness to complete training and certification

         Experience supporting human subjects research administration, including familiarity with Institutional Review Board processes, documentation, and compliance requirements

         Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document meeting notes, communicate clearly with internal team members, and interact professionally with external stakeholders as needed

         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams

         Experience with reference management tools (e.g., Zotero, EndNote)

         Knowledge of or willingness to learn about T1D

         Skills in conducting qualitative analyses for interviews, focus groups, and open-ended survey questions (under supervision of the PI) is optional, but beneficial

         Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
