Strategic Finance Advisor

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Finance Advisor based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic finance, customer advisory, and product enablement, supporting businesses in improving forecasting, planning, and decision-making at scale. You will act as a trusted advisor to finance leaders, helping them translate complex financial models into actionable insights using a modern FP&A platform. In this position, you will work closely with customers to design planning frameworks, improve reporting structures, and optimize financial workflows tailored to their business needs. You will also collaborate with sales, product, and implementation teams to ensure customers fully realize the value of the platform. Acting as a subject matter expert in strategic finance, you will influence both customer outcomes and product evolution. This is a highly cross-functional, customer-facing role in a fast-growing, remote-first environment that values autonomy, transparency, and innovation.

Accountabilities

Serve as a strategic finance advisor to customers, helping them design and optimize financial planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows.
Act as the bridge between customers and internal product teams, translating real-world finance needs into actionable product insights.
Support customers in building financial models, templates, and planning structures tailored to their business requirements.
Guide customers on best practices in FP&A, financial metrics, and performance analysis using the platform.
Collaborate with sales and implementation teams to support customer onboarding, adoption, and expansion strategies.
Identify new customer use cases and opportunities to improve product value and adoption.
Provide expert-level advisory support in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.
Contribute to the development of customer success frameworks and scalable advisory playbooks.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or similar analytical finance roles.
Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to build and interpret financial models.
Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, or customer-facing teams is highly desirable.
Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping businesses improve financial decision-making.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Collaborative and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
