Symmetrio is recruiting a Strategic Account in the Western U.S. territory.

Our client is a global medical technology company supporting hospitals and health systems with advanced solutions for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and sterile processing.

The Strategic Account Executive will lead growth across major health systems, IDNs, regional networks, and key hospital accounts throughout the Western U.S. This is a senior, field-based sales role focused on complex healthcare capital equipment sales, strategic account development, competitive conversions, contract growth, and executive-level relationship management.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background selling capital equipment into hospitals or health systems, with experience navigating IDNs, GPOs, value analysis, supply chain, perioperative leadership, sterile processing, infection prevention, and C-level decision-makers.

Compensation: Base:$150K/OTE:$225

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow strategic relationships with national and regional IDNs, health systems, and key hospital accounts.
  • Drive direct sales of complex healthcare capital equipment across the Western U.S.
  • Build executive-level relationships with health system leaders, sourcing teams, contract managers, and clinical/operational stakeholders.
  • Create demand, expand market share, and support competitive conversions within strategic accounts.
  • Lead account strategy, business reviews, RFP activity, contract discussions, and enterprise-level sales initiatives.
  • Partner with regional sales and service teams to coordinate account execution and revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales reporting in CRM.
  • Stay informed on healthcare market trends, competitive activity, and customer business priorities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthcare sales experience.
  • 8+ years selling complex capital equipment in a hospital or health system environment.
  • 3+ years of IDN, strategic account, corporate account, or executive-level sales experience.
  • Proven success managing long sales cycles, RFPs, value analysis, capital budgeting, and competitive conversions.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level leaders, supply chain, clinical stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Experience selling into sterile processing, infection prevention, perioperative services, hospital operations, or healthcare infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must reside in the Western U.S. near a major airport.
