Position: Strategic Account Executive

As a Strategic Account Executive at Interplay Learning, you will be responsible for driving new business growth within a targeted list of strategic accounts. You’ll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting (alongside an SDR and other inbound lead sources) and pipeline generation to closing — using a consultative, value-based approach to help organizations modernize their workforce training with Interplay’s innovative, on-demand learning solutions.

This role is for an experienced Account Executive in the B2B SaaS space, who has consistently achieved or exceeded an annual quota of around $1M and who has worked with companies in the Skilled Trades - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Solar, and Facilities Maintenance or the Industrial space related to Manufacturing, Facilities & Industrial Maintenance, Construction, Heavy Equipment, Crane & Rigging, and Logistics. Experience selling eLearning and Training products to these companies is highly preferred!

What you’ll do:

  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring new customers through strategic prospecting, delivering compelling product demos, and leading the sales process from initial outreach to final negotiation and close.
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Understand customer needs and challenges, developing tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of Interplay Learning’s platform.
  • Develop and execute account plans that align with client goals and drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including SDR team, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, to ensure seamless delivery and support.
  • Monitor target accounts, report on progress, and forecast revenue outcomes to leadership.
  • Represent Interplay Learning at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and enhance brand visibility.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales within B2B SaaS or a related industry.
  • Skilled Trades or Industrial segment experience highly preferred. Including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Solar, Manufacturing, Facilities & Industrial Maintenance, Construction, Heavy Equipment, Crane & Rigging, and Logistics.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth within strategic accounts.
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, consultative selling, and account planning. 
  • Knowledge of Challenger Sales methodology is a plus.
  • Proficiency with modern sales tech stack including Salesforce, Gong, Zoom, Hubspot, Highspot, G-Suite and Gemini AI. 
  • Experience working with workforce training solutions is a plus.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.
  • Following the offer, all roles require I-9 verification, E-Verify, a background check, and a drug and alcohol test.

Pay: $90k-$110k base salary, uncapped variable/commission, $180k+ OTE
