As a State of California Energy Strategy and Support (SOC ESS) Climate Corps Fellow, in the Climate Corps Fellowship program, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to impactful climate resiliency & sustainability initiatives with AESC. This is a remote position anywhere in the US.</span></p><p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Fellow will support their assigned State of California agency and the Program team by helping the agency advance energy projects from initial planning and final implementation, leading to an increase in new projects per agency.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your professional skills, grow your network, and contribute to AESC’s sustainability goals.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>About Our Partner: </strong><strong>AESC</strong></span></p><p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">AESC implements energy efficiency programs on behalf of California utilities and collaborates with state agencies to advance sustainability and resilience in public buildings. </span>There are two Fellowship positions available: one for the California Department of General Services (DGS) and one for the Judicial Council of California (JCC).</p><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></p><ul><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Review materials and identify corrections and process improvements.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Coordinate with multiple parties, including agencies, contractors, and programs, to identify, scope, and track projects.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Manage the logistics of virtual meetings, workshops, and training. </span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Attend meetings and create meeting notes.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Track deliverables, milestones, and communicate status and actions to team members.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Participate in events/workshops, organize tasks/deliverables, and contribute to strategic marketing and outreach efforts.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Provide programs and agencies with logistics such as coordinating kick-off meetings and site assessments.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Support the agency in the creation of the annual Sustainability Plan.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></span></p><ul><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Project management experience.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">A college degree, coursework, or related experience in environmental fields is preferred.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Commitment to a fair workplace that honors the experiences, voices, viewpoints, and values of all individuals.</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship (SEI is unable to sponsor visas).</span></li><li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">May require occasional moving about to accomplish tasks, moving from one worksite to another, or adjusting or moving objects under 25-50 pounds in all directions.</span></li></ul><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><em>We encourage everyone interested in this position to apply, even if you don’t meet every qualification.
