Accountabilities:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and drive the development of scalable data solutions that support critical business capabilities. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, improve platform capabilities, and deliver impactful solutions.

Lead the technical direction for complex software solutions, partnering with product teams and engineering stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data systems, including ingestion pipelines, data services, analytics infrastructure, and platform tooling.
Develop frameworks that enable high-performance processing and distribution of financial data while supporting AI-powered product initiatives.
Drive architectural discussions, evaluate technology decisions, and provide strategic guidance across engineering teams.
Build reliable systems using modern technologies such as Python, PySpark, Java, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes and solve complex engineering challenges.
Operate effectively in a dynamic environment by balancing innovation, scalability, reliability, and delivery speed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, data platforms, and technical leadership. You should have a passion for solving complex problems, influencing engineering decisions, and building scalable solutions.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
Experience designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and messaging-based solutions.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Java.
Experience working with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL systems, OLAP technologies, and/or modern data lake architectures.
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and scalable engineering practices.
Knowledge of financial concepts, investment data, or fintech environments is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
