The Servicing Automation team builds the technology that powers scalable, cost-efficient customer operations at Imprint. We focus on automating high-impact areas like payment processing, self-service tools, collections, disputes, and program setup—reducing manual work while improving customer experience.
Our mission is to drive margin improvements by streamlining servicing workflows through automation. We partner closely with Operations and measure success through platform reliability, cost efficiency, and key service metrics like delinquency rates and support SLAs.

This role will be a hybrid work format, with time split between working remotely and working onsite from either our San Francisco or New York offices, 2-3 days a week as required by your manager.
As a Staff Fullstack Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence, system architecture, and team development. Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing mobile apps, web applications, SDKs, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across existing and new systems.
Collaborate with technical leaders and engineers to define and execute the team’s technical roadmap.
Team Development & Mentorship
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and ownership.
Lead by example to instill best practices in development, testing, and deployment.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Partner with product, finance, and compliance teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
Ensure smooth project execution by managing timelines, scope, and resource allocation.
Regularly communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Quality, Security & Risk Management
Enforce high standards in code quality, documentation, and engineering practices.
Oversee robust testing strategies to identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle.
Work closely with security engineers to prioritize and resolve vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive platform enhancements.
Identify opportunities to streamline development processes and optimize team productivity.
8+ years of software engineering experience, working across backend and frontend (web, iOS, Android) systems, including AI-driven solutions.
5+ years leading the architecture, design, and scalability of complex software systems.
5+ years developing consumer-facing or internal tools using JavaScript, React.js, and full-stack technologies like Golang, Node.js, Java, or Python.
Strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and project management skills.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and technical leadership.
Experience scaling a development team from 0 to 10+ engineers.
Proven ability to build and deliver mission-critical, 24x7 production systems.
