Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, setting engineering direction and influencing architectural decisions for high-assurance embedded and edge platforms.
  • Partner with product management and senior leadership to shape technical strategy and ensure alignment with business and mission requirements.
  • Lead design and development of complex, safety-critical and performance-critical systems in C/C++ and related technologies.
  • Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, raising the technical bar and fostering a culture of high-quality software development.
  • Define and enforce best practices for architecture, coding standards, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synthesize requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical production and integration challenges, guiding teams through troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and approaches that enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.




Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial experience in C/C++.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software architecture and systems integration in high-reliability or safety-critical environments (e.g., avionics, defense, automotive, medical).
  • Proven track record of leading teams in delivering complex embedded systems and/or distributed platforms.
  • Experience with embedded systems, RTOS, and hardware I/O device integration (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, RS232, discrete, analog).
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows development environments.
  • Experience working in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and functions.
