Staff Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, search, and collaboration, shaping how users understand and organize complex workspaces inside a modern productivity platform. You will define and evolve core product concepts that unify files, folders, projects, and AI-driven experiences into a coherent mental model. The work focuses on building intelligent “context layers” that surface the right information at the right time, across both internal content and external integrations. You will operate in a highly cross-functional environment, partnering closely with engineering, design, and AI teams to bring clarity to ambiguous product spaces. This is a high-impact role where product thinking, systems design, and user trust converge. Your decisions will directly influence how millions of users interact with structured knowledge and AI-assisted workflows.

Accountabilities:

Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for next-generation workspace and context experiences, ensuring a unified and intuitive user mental model.
Design and evolve intelligent systems that bring together content, metadata, AI summaries, and third-party integrations into trusted collaborative environments.
Partner closely with engineering, design, search, AI, and platform teams to translate ambiguous problem spaces into scalable, high-quality product experiences.
Establish onboarding flows, naming conventions, interaction patterns, and discovery systems that help users adopt and understand new workspace constructs.
Define success metrics, experimentation frameworks, and quality standards for early-stage rollouts and long-term product scaling.
Translate complex technical constraints—such as retrieval, permissions, freshness, and model behavior—into clear, user-centered product decisions.

Requirements:

10+ years of product management experience delivering impactful, user-facing digital products at scale.
Strong conceptual and systems thinking, with the ability to simplify complex product ecosystems into clear mental models.
Deep technical fluency with AI/LLM systems, retrieval, search relevance, permissions models, and distributed architectures.
Proven experience balancing user experience simplicity with complex backend and platform constraints.
Strong cross-functional leadership experience working with engineering, design, data science, and AI teams in ambiguous product areas.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and align diverse teams.
Strong intuition for trust, relevance, precision, and quality in AI-powered or search-driven experiences.
