Staff Developer Advocate (Remote)

As a Staff Developer Advocate, you will lead initiatives that empower developers by creating and delivering highly technical, engaging content across digital and in-person channels. You will shape advocacy strategies, identify emerging trends, and enhance the developer experience through collaboration with engineering, product, and marketing teams. This role involves mentoring peers, contributing to content strategy, and driving adoption of best practices across developer communities. You will be instrumental in translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance and creating content that inspires and educates diverse technical audiences. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for connecting with developers at scale. The role is remote with occasional travel expectations.

Accountabilities:

·         Develop and execute a comprehensive developer advocacy strategy to maximize engagement and adoption.

·         Build relationships with technical communities through online platforms, meetups, and conferences.

·         Mentor and support other developer advocates, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing.

·         Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to advocate for developer needs.

·         Create and manage high-quality technical content, including tutorials, code samples, blog posts, and videos.

·         Monitor industry trends, identify opportunities for content, and translate complex concepts into clear guidance.

·         Gather and analyze community feedback to inform product development and content strategy improvements.

Requirements

·         Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, AI tooling, or identity/security solutions.

·         Proven track record of creating developer-oriented content and engaging technical audiences.

·         Experience with cloud-native or distributed architectures and integrating complex systems.

·         Excellent communication, mentoring, and community engagement skills.

·         Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive initiatives to improve developer experience.

·         Familiarity with developer tools and workflows such as SDKs, APIs, Figma, Miro, or similar platforms.

·         Strong analytical skills for measuring engagement, deriving insights, and iterating on strategy.
