Accountabilities:- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where data science and machine learning can drive improvements in healthcare solutions, product development, and business performance.
- Analyze large-scale healthcare claims and clinical datasets to uncover insights that optimize payment accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Design, build, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support business decision-making, including revenue optimization and product enhancement.
- Evaluate and improve data sources, collection methods, and data quality to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability of analytical outputs.
- Develop and maintain advanced statistical and machine learning models, ensuring they are effectively monitored, validated, and continuously improved over time.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement models in production environments and monitor performance, including responsible AI considerations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning, with a strong focus on building and deploying statistical and predictive models.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level and query optimization) and experience working with large-scale datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages for data analysis and model development.
- Experience working with healthcare data, including UB and HCFA claim structures, is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision trees, and neural networks, as well as statistical modeling methods.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for project collaboration is a plus.
