This role sits at the intersection of healthcare data, AI, and advanced analytics, focused on transforming complex claims and clinical datasets into actionable intelligence that improves healthcare affordability and efficiency. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment, partnering with engineers, clinicians, and business leaders to design models that directly influence product innovation, payment integrity, and operational strategy. The position requires a strong blend of technical depth and business acumen, with a focus on building scalable predictive systems and responsible AI solutions. You will play a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making across the organization while contributing to the evolution of AI-powered healthcare platforms. This is a high-impact role where your work directly supports better outcomes for payers, providers, and patients.


Accountabilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where data science and machine learning can drive improvements in healthcare solutions, product development, and business performance.
  • Analyze large-scale healthcare claims and clinical datasets to uncover insights that optimize payment accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Design, build, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support business decision-making, including revenue optimization and product enhancement.
  • Evaluate and improve data sources, collection methods, and data quality to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability of analytical outputs.
  • Develop and maintain advanced statistical and machine learning models, ensuring they are effectively monitored, validated, and continuously improved over time.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement models in production environments and monitor performance, including responsible AI considerations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning, with a strong focus on building and deploying statistical and predictive models.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level and query optimization) and experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages for data analysis and model development.
  • Experience working with healthcare data, including UB and HCFA claim structures, is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark is a plus.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision trees, and neural networks, as well as statistical modeling methods.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for project collaboration is a plus.
