    • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and tools.
    • Lead technical efforts to support both developer enablement and quality assurance needs.
    • Provide expertise in designing and optimizing automation systems for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
  2. Developer Enablement:
    • Build and deploy automation solutions that streamline the SDLC, including tools for test data generation, environment setup, and deployment pipelines.
    • Integrate automation into CI/CD workflows to deliver rapid feedback and seamless deployments.
    • Drive the adoption of developer-first tools to minimize friction and accelerate development processes.
    • Implement and manage centralized software catalogs to improve discoverability, compliance, and reuse of automation tools and services.
  3. Technical Debt Reduction and Modernization:
    • Identify and address technical debt in automation frameworks and infrastructure.
    • Modernize legacy systems and align them with modern tools and methodologies.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies to continuously improve developer and quality enablement capabilities.
  4. Quality Assurance and Metrics:
    • Define and implement robust test automation strategies to ensure reliable and consistent quality across releases.
    • Ensure comprehensive testing coverage, focusing on functional, integration, and end-to-end tests with an emphasis on SOA and microservices.
    • Track and improve delivery performance metrics, such as DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery).
  5. Collaboration and Cross-Team Alignment:
    • Partner with engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams to align automation strategies with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate on service integration testing, contract testing, and system-level quality initiatives.
    • Advocate for best practices and provide technical leadership in automation priorities across teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a technical leader in automation engineering or developer enablement.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks for SOA and microservices architectures.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, emphasizing maintainable and scalable code.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of service integration testing, contract testing, and system reliability testing.
  • Demonstrated success in improving DORA metrics across engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Familiarity with developer tooling and software cataloging tools and practices (e.g., Backstage, SonarQube, IDE plugin development).
  • Expertise in pipeline technologies, including CI/CD orchestration, artifact management, and automated rollbacks (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Artifactory).
  • Proficiency with build tools and dependency management systems (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Bazel, npm, Yarn).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.
