Sr Solutions Engineer

About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This hands-on role is a key part of the pre-sales process, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams to create tailored customer solutions that unlock long-term value and success. The Senior Solutions Engineer will strategize with the Sales team to determine the required Evaluation Stage Activities (ESAs), as well as assist with the creation and delivery of presentations for targeted solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead in-person and virtual workshops to uncover customer needs and map them to Shipium’s platform capabilities.
• Partner with Sales to craft strategic pre-sales plans and design compelling solution demos and presentations.
• Translate customer business goals into technical requirements and guide customers on how best to leverage Shipium’s APIs and platform.
• Deliver Proof of Value engagements that demonstrate ROI and drive customer commitment.
• Analyze customer logistics data to identify optimization opportunities and strengthen business cases.
• Contribute to Statements of Work (SOW) and RFP/RFI responses, and ensure a smooth transition to implementation.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert during pre-sales and onboarding.
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering to help shape roadmap priorities based on customer needs.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in SaaS (preferably in supply chain, logistics, or eCommerce tech) in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or customer success role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain systems (WMS, OMS, TMS, or multi-carrier platforms).
• Experience working with APIs, Postman, and cloud-based software.
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth tech startups.
• Hands-on logistics or operations experience.
• Background in solution scoping and writing technical documentation.
• Ability to analyze data, build business cases, and communicate ROI effectively.
• Exceptional presentation skills and ability to communicate with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
• Team-first attitude with leadership potential and willingness to mentor others.

20-30% travel required
