The Senior brings deep expertise in multitenant SaaS platforms, distributed architectures, and microservices, with the ability to build modern solutions in .NET 6+ while maintaining and evolving our legacy .NET Framework 4.7.2 monolith. They understand software architecture well enough to design solutions that are powerful enough to solve immediate problems, adaptable to our changing market, and simple enough to maintain for long-term success — while ensuring high-performance RESTful APIs and scalable enterprise-grade software. Responsibilities <ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable, multitenant SaaS applications using .NET 6+ and microservices-based distributed architectures. </li><li>Support, maintain, and modernize legacy .NET Framework 4.7.2 monolithic applications while planning and executing migration strategies. </li><li>Build high-performance, secure, and well-documented RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party APIs. </li><li>Apply industry-standard architecture patterns, best practices, and clean code principles to ensure maintainability and scalability. </li><li>Collaborate with the Technical Lead and Architect to ensure alignment with architectural direction, coding standards, and system design goals. </li><li>Work closely in a fully remote, cross-functional Agile team to deliver business-critical software solutions. </li><li>Write and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. </li><li>Own the end-to-end delivery of significant features or projects, including technical design, implementation, and deployment. </li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in production and staging environments. </li><li>Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, demos) and act as a technical lead when needed. </li><li>Mentor and coach less senior engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team. </li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and deployment pipelines. </li><li>Other relevant projects as needed or assigned </li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>10+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong expertise in C#/.NET and object-oriented programming principles. </li><li>Proven experience designing, building, and scaling multitenant SaaS platforms. </li><li>Strong hands-on experience with .NET 6+ for new development and .NET Framework 4.7.2 for legacy system maintenance. </li><li>Deep knowledge of distributed architectures, microservices, and service-oriented design patterns. </li><li>Expert in designing and implementing RESTful APIs that are performant, secure, and maintainable. </li><li>Solid experience with SQL databases (query optimization, schema design, stored procedures). </li><li>Experience working in an Agile SaaS development environment with CI/CD pipelines. </li><li>Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) for deployment, monitoring, and scaling distributed applications. </li><li>Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js (preferred, not required). </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex distributed systems. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional team. </li><li>Prior experience mentoring other developers and leading technical initiatives. </li></ul><div>What's in it for you? </div><ul><li><div>You join the gold standard in school safety software. </div></li><li><div>You will join a company where innovation and customer collaboration are part of what drives new product development to help keep kids safe. </div></li><li><div>You will work with diverse teams made up of some of the best minds in the industry.</div></li><li><div>You will exposure to strong mentorship and leadership that have supported a long history of career advancement opportunities for our employees. </div></li><li><div>You will have access to a robust benefits package that includes: </div></li><ul><li><div>Remote-first philosophy </div></li><li><div>Flexible paid time off </div></li><li><div>Paid parental leave </div></li><li><div>11 Paid holidays per year </div></li><li><div>Workplace flexibility </div></li><li><div>Affordable health coverage (medical, dental, vision), paid 100% for employee only medical </div></li><li><div>401(k) employer contribution to help you plan for the future </div></li><li><div>Company paid life insurance, STD, and LTD </div></li><li><div>Pet insurance</div></li></ul></ul> <div class="content-conclusion">If you are a resident of California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York or Washington, please reach out to <a href="mailto:hr@raptortech.com">hr@raptortech.com</a> for a reasonable estimate of annual base compensation and any eligible incentive compensation.
