SR QA Automation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer based in the United States.

This role is a key contributor to ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of modern web and mobile applications through robust automated testing frameworks. You will work in a dynamic, remote-first environment supporting digital transformation initiatives across multiple clients and industries. The position requires strong technical expertise in test automation, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable testing solutions for complex applications. You will collaborate closely with development and product teams to identify issues early, improve release confidence, and enhance overall software quality. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly contributes to user experience and product stability. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and centered on continuous improvement and modern QA practices. Accountabilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications using modern tools such as Playwright.
Build and execute automated API testing strategies using tools like Postman to ensure backend reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain mobile automation testing for iOS and Android applications using XCUITest, Espresso, and Appium.
Perform functional, UI, regression, and performance testing across web and mobile platforms.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers to define test strategies and improve software quality.
Identify, document, and track defects while ensuring clear communication and resolution follow-up.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards.

Requirements:

Strong experience in QA automation engineering roles with a focus on web and mobile testing.
Hands-on expertise with Playwright for web automation testing.
Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Solid knowledge of mobile test automation frameworks including XCUITest (iOS), Espresso (Android), and Appium.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript for test automation development.
Experience in functional, UI, and performance testing across multiple platforms.
English proficiency is required for collaboration in a global remote environment.
Nice to have: experience with Cypress and/or Python.
Strong communication, collaboration, and quality-oriented mindset.
