Who is CareCar?

CareCar partners with healthcare organizations across the US to enhance outcomes and reduce risk, primarily through non-emergency medical transportation and home health services.

Our platform powers scheduling, dispatch, provider management, and benefit administration, using a dynamic marketplace model to connect patients with trusted care providers.

CareCar is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead feature development and roadmap execution across our care delivery platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and our technical analyst (Solutions Architect) to define and deliver product improvements that enhance outcomes for healthcare members, transportation providers, and internal teams.

This is a high-impact role with broad scope and ownership. You’ll start by improving how we manage and prioritize product work, and grow into leading product strategy and process across the organization.

About This Role

This role is ideal for a thoughtful, execution-focused PM who’s ready to take ownership of the product development lifecycle—from shaping feature ideas with stakeholders to writing clear specs, managing priorities, and collaborating with engineering to ship improvements quickly.

You’ll work closely with our Solutions Architect, engineering team, and business stakeholders to define product requirements, maintain the backlog, coordinate releases, and ensure that business goals and user needs are reflected in what we build.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feature requests and define requirements

  • Translate high-level needs into clear specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, roadmap, and release plans

  • Partner with engineers and designers throughout the development lifecycle

  • Define lightweight product processes and help the team adopt them

  • Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and timelines clearly with business teams

  • Ensure product decisions are informed by user feedback and business impact

  • Write internal documentation and product release notes when needed

  • Support project management efforts to keep work on track

About You

  • You have 5+ years of product management experience in a SaaS or software startup environment

  • You’re comfortable working with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders

  • You’ve written clear product specs and led cross-functional projects from start to finish

  • You can turn complex business needs into simple, well-scoped solutions

  • You’re comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • You’re an excellent communicator with strong writing skills

  • You can overlap with Pacific Time hours for collaboration

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in healthcare, logistics, or other regulated or operationally complex industries

  • Familiarity with agile delivery, backlog grooming, and lightweight project management practices

  • Experience working with technical analysts or business stakeholders to translate requirements

Benefits

We believe in supporting our team with meaningful benefits that promote well-being and flexibility:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance – with employer contributions.

  • Flexible Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Sick Leave to recharge and care for yourself.

  • Remote-First Culture – work from where you thrive.

  • Driven, impact-focused culture where autonomy and ownership are key.

Inclusion Statement

You can be a great candidate even if you don't fit everything we've described above. You can also have important skills we haven't thought of. If that's you, don't hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself (especially in your cover letter - this is where you can really state your case for why you would be a good candidate). We are committed to diversity and building an equitable and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and experiences, and we're taking steps to meet that commitment. We especially encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQ people, veterans, and people with disabilities.
