This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting in United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for owning and scaling the full revenue accounting function within a fast-growing, global technology environment. You will serve as a key finance leader, partnering closely with Sales, Legal, Product, Engineering, and FP&A to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition across multiple business models. The role plays a critical part in shaping revenue policies, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. You will oversee complex close processes, audit coordination, and revenue reporting while driving automation and process optimization initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to build scalable systems that support rapid business growth. You will also mentor and develop a growing revenue accounting team in a dynamic, high-performance culture.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end revenue accounting function, including order approvals, invoicing oversight, revenue memos, reconciliations, and audit support across all revenue streams.
  • Ensure full compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP, including subscription, consumption-based, and hybrid revenue models.
  • Own revenue accounting policies globally, ensuring they are continuously updated, enforced, and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy in ledger entries, deferred revenue, disclosures, and reporting packages.
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors for revenue-related audits, including deferred revenue and SSP analyses.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and Sales Operations to evaluate contract structures and revenue impact prior to deal finalization.
  • Oversee revenue reporting, variance analysis, executive dashboards, and board-level financial presentations.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and implementation of revenue systems and tools to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Design and maintain strong SOX-compliant internal controls over order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes.
  • Manage sales commission review, calculation, and amortization processes, ensuring alignment with ASC 340-40 and contract lifecycles.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop revenue accounting team members to ensure strong performance and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Prior public accounting experience required, with Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 and revenue recognition for SaaS and consumption-based business models.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with ERP, billing, and revenue systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations and revenue automation initiatives is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; SQL experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary range of 157,000 to 205,000 USD depending on experience and location.
  • Remote work flexibility across the United States.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, innovative cloud technology environment.
  • Exposure to executive-level decision-making and strategic finance initiatives.
  • Strong focus on professional development, leadership growth, and career advancement.
  • Inclusive and collaborative culture that values diversity, equity, and belonging.
  • Comprehensive benefits package may include healthcare, retirement plans, and other standard employee perks (details provided during hiring process).
