This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. IT Project Manager in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex IT initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure, software delivery, cloud migration, and enterprise systems, driving continuous improvement in project processes and outcomes. The position emphasizes strategic alignment, stakeholder communication, and effective change management. You will run high-stakes workshops, facilitate executive-level discussions, and provide visible leadership to ensure project success. This is a highly dynamic environment requiring adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority. Your work will directly impact business efficiency, technology adoption, and operational excellence.
Accountabilities:
· Lead all aspects of complex IT projects from initiation, planning, execution, to closure, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
· Facilitate and guide cross-functional project teams, aligning efforts with strategic priorities and business objectives.
· Coordinate project activities with internal and external resources, managing dependencies and risks effectively.
· Conduct high-level workshops, sprint planning, and executive alignment sessions.
· Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance project management efficiency.
· Provide clear and regular project reporting, tracking, and forecasting of resources and timelines.
· Mentor and coach team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 8+ years of experience managing complex IT projects, including infrastructure, software delivery, cloud migration, digital platforms, or enterprise systems.
· Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or PSM preferred; strong results orientation valued over formal badges.
· Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Miro, Lucidchart, MS Project, etc.).
· Expertise in multiple project methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall), with the flexibility to adapt as required.
· Strong leadership presence, able to facilitate discussions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in complex and fast-paced environments.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle ambiguity, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
